Early Swedish Secretary in Two Parts
Late Gustavian secretary, Sweden circa 1820. The upper section features a molded cornice with dentil detail over double doors with raised panels. Inside are four fixed shelves, the top shelf having notches for spoons and cutouts for tall vessels. The lower section has a fitted desk with numerous small drawers behind a slant front which retains its original lock and key. Under the writing surface are four drawers with brass ring pulls, all supported by simple bracket feet.
