Gustavian Bench

Gustavian bench, Sweden c.1780, with original horsehair cushion. The reeded and carved spindles support a formed rail with turned finials. The frame and legs are decorated with acanthus leaf and bellflower carving. The seat is covered with hand-woven antique German linen.
