Paint-decorated armoire, Austria circa 1760, with a single door. The two recessed panels are painted with wonderfully natural scenes, each showing a bird with flowers and berries. Flanking the door are four panels with faux porphyry, and below the door is a marbled drawer. The interior retains the original hand-carved pegs. Swedish cupboard dated 1843 with retains all of its original decorative paint. The dry red body paint is combed in scallops and swirls. Very special, untouched paint-decorated Swedish armoire, circa 1820. The four raised front panels depict the master with his favorite animals, a goat and a trusted dog, and his manor house. The top panels illustrate a stylized formal vase and a wooden garden container that were very likely found in and around the manor. The interior of the armoire has one original shelf. The simple shape and wonderful paint-decoration on this armoire contributes to its simple elegance. - Marbleized Armoire from the Bavarian Forest

Charming grain-painted and marbleized Swedish cabinet, shallow enough to fit in an entrance or hallway. The upper section features doors with burl painting opening to reveal two shelves, one elaborately carved. Under the doors is found the monogram “JHD.” The lower section has two graduated drawers, the lower marbleized in deep green paint. The ogee shaped sides terminate in bracket feet. This cabinet is in excellent condition. - Red Painte-Decorated Armoire Dated 1845
This armoire from Egerland, Germany, dated 1845, has its original paint and graceful unpolished brass hardware. It is decorated with urns of flowers and nosegays on the doors, and with painted columns on the door frame. The single drawer has a simple painted swag.
